“Sacraments are palpable enactments of the gospel by means of which the Spirit of God confirms to us the forgiving, renewing, and promising love of God in Jesus Christ and enlivens us in faith, hope, and love.” - Daniel Migliore
New Hope celebrates Communion roughly once a month. All who profess Jesus Christ as Lord are welcome at his table. Both wine and grape juice are offered along with unleavened bread.
New Hope celebrates Baptism services once a year at the end of the summer in the backyard pool of one of our members. While we respect the practices of the Christian traditions that baptize infants, it is our view that baptism should be undergone voluntarily by persons who are of sufficient maturity to make such a commitment. If you are interested in being baptized please contact Pastor Joe Miller at jmiller@ournewhope.org.
Although New Hope does not baptize infants, we do consider the dedication of a child to the life of Christ’s church a sacred responsibility. Baby Dedication ceremonies are performed as needed during Sunday morning worship time. Families of the children dedicated often see this as a great opportunity to invite friends and family to church.
